Ode to My Scorpio's

Intense, profound, powerful

Even when we appear self-controlled and calm there is a seething intensity of emotional energy under the placid exterior.

Often strangely hypnotic personality under the tranquil, but watchful composure. In conventional social gatherings we are pleasant to be with, thoughtful in conversation, dignified, and reserved, yet affable and courteous; we sometimes possess penetrating eyes which make our shyer companions feel naked and defenseless.

In everyday behavior we give the appearance of being withdrawn from the center of activity, yet those who know us will recognize the watchfulness that is part of our character. We need great self-discipline, because are able to recognize the qualities in ourselves that make us different from others and to know our utterly conventional natures can be used for great good, or great evil.

Our tenacity and willpower is immense, our depth of character and passionate conviction overwhelming, yet we are deeply sensitive and easily moved by emotions.

We are sometime overly critical and outspoken.

We are passionatelovers, the most sensually energetic of all the signs. Union with the beloved is a sacrament, an outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual grace.

Scorpio is often compared to the Phoenix, a mythical bird which was reborn from its own ashes, more powerful and beautiful than ever before. With intensity and personal magnetism we have tremendous inner strength, which when properly developed, gives great power to turn negative situations into positive outcomes, and to rechannel destructive energy into constructive purposes.

There may be times when you feel that you must constantly struggle with difficult situations. Yet this ability to turn adversity into fortune strengthens you each time, and as you continue through life you grow stronger and more skilled, with ever-increasing confidence.
